Young Inventors VC/Elevator Pitch

On Friday 11 August students will be offered the opportunity to present a VC or Elevator Pitch: 1) A short presentation designed to gain support for the development of their ICT project (9:00 - 10:30am in School Library or similar time / location to be announced)

The judge(s) will pick one idea/project and all teams will combine to work together on turning that idea into a reality.

The hardware and associated costs will be met by the school.

It is a condition of entry that the selection process, conditions and selection of the winning project will be at the sole discretion of the school principal and this decision will be final.

How to make a pitch

A pitch is a framework that is designed to help you deliver your ideas in a way that will convince somebody to support you. It mostly relies on a short verbal presentation that may be supported by multimedia slides, video, audio or other 'props' 2).

A Venture Capitalist (VC) Pitch is a presentation that is designed to convince one or more people that they should invest their money and time to help you turn your idea into reality.

An Elevator Pitch is a presentation designed to be delivered verbally and in a short period of time.
